Directors' Education and Accreditation Program (DEAP)

The Directors' Education and Accreditation Program (DEAP) helps you clarify your governance mission to fully exercise your leadership potential as a board director. It is a highly interactive, three-day course that incorporates roundtable discussions, case studies and on-point insights from leading academic thinkers, experts in their industries and experience governance consultants. The goal of the program is to:

  • build competencies deemed necessary to be an effective director;
  • deliver value right from the start  through its concentrated delivery; and
  • provide a widely-recognized Accredited Director (Acc.Dir) designation to program participants

As sponsors of the DEAP, CMA Alberta members receive $500 off the regular tuition. You will need to provide the CMA Alberta discount code on the registration form to receive this special discount.

View the CMA Alberta discount code.  (Note: You will be prompted to enter your member username and password to view this code).

The next Alberta session will take place in Calgary on November 24-26, 2008. Registration for the Fall 2008 sessions is now open. Be sure to register early as only a maximum of 16 Directors will be allowed in each session and you will need to complete a large amount of reading before the sessions begin. For details and to register, please visit the DEAP website.
