Internationally trained professionals pursuing the CMA designation will now have the opportunity to evaluate their English language skills. CMA Ontario has selected Euphoria Workforce Solutions' online education platform Thinkpass(TM) to deliver this contemporary program. Registered CMA candidates will have access to an online ESL self-evaluation program at english.thinkpass.com. Following the evaluation, those interested in building their English skills will be directed by CMA Ontario to appropriate programs - so they can enhance their proficiency prior to beginning CMA studies. If candidates discover that additional English language skills are required, they can participate in a series of courses provided by Language Education for Accounting Professionals (LEAP). The first series, called CMA Lecture Ready, provides Accelerated Program (AP) candidates with the lecture listening and academic reading skills to succeed in their program and pass the Entrance Exam.
Two additional LEAP programs are provided for each phase of the Strategic Leadership Program. Each program runs for eight weeks and requires three hours of study each week.
