Strategic Management Accounting Forums

Our third year of Strategic Management Accounting Forums (2009) began in May with a two-day workshop on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) with facilitator Karine Benzacar, MBA, CMA, CPA, which was held in Fredericton.  Next on the agenda in September was Project Management with Janice Petley, BA, BEd, MBA, PMP in Moncton.  CMA New Brunswick’s own Tom Sullivan MBA, CIA, CMA once again concluded the series in November with his Corporate Fraud seminar, which was held in Saint John.  Attendance at each of the forums was near capacity and rave reviews were received for all. 

Delegates at each of the forums enjoyed a full buffet breakfast and lunch as well as a selection of new give-aways including leather passport holders, cooler bags, pens, computer bags, and colourful iPOD socks.

Feedback received from all three Forums has been considered in the development of forums in 2010.  Members wishing to suggest topics for future forums are asked to forward their suggestions to Rhonda at cmanb.admin@nb.aibn.com.  Interest  in the forums has reached the point where the program will be expanded and offered to the business community at large.
