Scholarship Program

CMA New Brunswick is launching a new scholarship program that recognizes the academic achievement of outstanding university graduates in New Brunswick. Scholarships worth $1000 each are awarded to deserving students intending to become CMAs.

Objectives

To recognize the academic achievement of undergraduate students who have completed bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration.

To recognize business and commerce programs in New Brunswick offering the complete curriculum required for entry into the accounting profession.

Criteria

- Canadian Citizen or permanent resident
- Graduate of an undergraduate program that has been accredited by CMA Canada
- Academic average of 75% or higher
- Registration in the Strategic Leadership program or the CMA Component of an MBA-CMA Program offered by CMA New Brunswick, by November 30th

Application

No application is required. Once a qualifying applicant submits the completed program application (including official transcript), CMA New Brunswick automatically includes the candidate in the list of scholarship recipients.

Scholarship Award Date

Scholarships are awarded annually on December 15th.

CMA Canada Accredited Programs

CMA Canada recognizes those universities that achieve high standards of instruction in strategy, management and accounting. Through the accreditation of select university programs, it encourages universities to pursue excellence in areas of teaching and research that align with the CMA Competency Map and it provides university students with assurances as to the quality of business programs leading to the CMA designation.
