Under a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA), there is a reciprocal granting of professional designations for qualifying members of CMA Canada and the other body. The eligibility requirements are set by each body based on an extensive review of each other's accreditation policies and programs.

MRAs are of great benefit to CMA members as they increase recognition of CMAs in the international marketplace and provide greater mobility within the accounting profession.

CMA Canada is pleased to announce that MRAs have been signed with the following international accounting bodies:

• Mutual Recognition Agreement with CPA Australia
• Mutual Recognition Agreement with The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) based in the U.K.
• Mutual Recognition Agreement with The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) based in the U.K.

CMA members who wish to pursue membership under one of these MRAs should contact the respective body for further details and an application form.

CPA Australia, CIPFA and CIMA members who wish to apply for membership in CMA Canada should contact the provincial CMA office for an application form.
